Endings Are Really Beginnings

When something ends, we tend to see it as bad. There is really no such thing as an end, as our existence is infinite. Every ending is really a beginning; one rolling into the next. If something in our lives has ended, it’s because it has served its purpose. Holding on to what no longer serves us, puts us through unnecessary pain and suffering. This is where choice comes in to play. We have the choice  to continue to beat ourselves up, asking “why me?” or we can choose to look back on what we have learned and the wisdom we have gained from this life experience. Every situation we have been faced with and every life experience has a purpose; to teach us something about ourselves, growing our wisdom and our spirit.

I understand the unknown can be scary; but really we are faced with the unknown every day. We may feel as if we know what every day will hold, and feel as if everything is secure because we have planned it that way, but this is a false sense of security. There is absolutely no way of knowing what tomorrow will hold; we can guess based off of the decisions we have made today, but there are no guarantees.

Instead of viewing our life plans as definitive, we should embrace the idea that as we change and grow, so does our life path. Every aspect of life is in constant motion, changing all of the time. Why, as humans, are we so reluctant to the change and growth that the rest of all living species does so naturally?

An ending is really a beautiful gift in disguise, opening the door for opportunity to flow. It may be hard to see it this way at first, but after we take a closer look we will see the light flooding in the open door.
